THE ULTIMATE GETAWAY – STE. ANNE'S SPA

Watching my mom reading in serenity is one of my favourite memories from Ste. Anne's.

When I reflect on this year one of the highlights is a road trip to Ste. Anne's spa that I took with my mom and three sisters in celebration of my mom's 60th birthday. Two of my sisters were pregnant at the time (they've since each given birth to a healthy boy) and it was the ultimate getaway to connect as sisters, daughters, mothers and girlfriends. 

Spa wear is the norm in the dining room during breakfast and lunch service.

We stayed in a lovely cottage just off the main building which was more than perfect for our group of five. The grounds were enchanting and every walk was a vision. Decadent spa services and a delicious menu were rainbows on top of sunshine and worthy of a post all of their own. 

This soup is a perfect snap of the simple, wholesome menu offered at the spa.

So what to wear to the St. Anne's? The dress code is casual and robes are even encouraged in the dining room (though not for dinner). I went with simple loungewear separates, like stretchy cottons and breezy linen paired with Birkenstock sandals - which were perfect for short hikes, dinner and comfortable enough to slip away to the spa in between.

We've never been busier – motherhood, work, social life are constantly competing for our attention, Ste. Anne's was moment to pause, reconnect with one another and ourselves. A getaway that none of us will forget.
